In addition to the events that occur in Carteret County, you can take also advantage of the natural beauty and outdoor activities the Crystal Coast has to offer. The Crystal Coast is home to some of the best scuba diving sites in the world! People travel from all parts of the globe to dive on the “Graveyard of the Atlantic” and to see the marine life that now lives on the shipwrecks.

The Crystal Coast is also a great place to fish! Every year, the Crystal Coast hosts the Big Rock Blue Marlin fishing tournament, one of America’s largest and oldest sportfishing tournaments. But you don’t have to take part in the Big Rock fishing tournament to enjoy fishing. You can take your boat off the coast (or charter one) or find one of many places on land to catch some great fish!

If you enjoy hiking, biking or running, the Crystal Coast offers miles of trails for you to enjoy. Or you could relax on the water by kayaking or paddleboarding. The Crystal Coast really does have a lot to offer and is an amazing place to live!
